
PRP for Minors

Psychiatric rehabilitation program (PRP) services provide rehabilitation and support to minor patients so they may learn to develop community and independent living skills.

Services are goal-directed and outcome focused. Interventions are aimed to reduce symptoms of mental illness and to restore individuals to appropriate functional levels.

Children between the ages of 6-17 are eligible to receive services through a Managed Care Organization and Medicaid.

Referral for services must be completed by a licensed mental health professional, who has diagnosed the child. This diagnosis must be approved by the Behavioral Health Administration, Medicaid, and Optum Health Services.

Services may be provided on-site or in a setting most conducive to promoting community integration.
